“Love Steaks” by Jakob Lass wins Max-Ophüls-Preis 2014 and “Familienfieber” by Nico Sommer the Grand Prize of the Saarland First Minister 2014

“Love Steaks” director Jakob Lass received the award for the best German-language young talent movie, which includes prize money of 36,000 Euros, on Saturday night in Saarbrücken. “Love Steaks” is “not only a movie but a gift to the audience which is simply brimming over with energy, enthusiasm, colours and love, and shows once again what cinema is able to achieve”, the jury explains its decision. As the distributor, daredo media is more than happy for the team winning this prize! After receiving all four advancement awards at the Filmfest Munich 2013 for the first time in history, namely “Best Movie”, “Best Production”, “Best Theatrical Performance” and “Best Script” and having been listed in the pre-selection for the German Filmpreis 2014, this is already the third big acknowledgement for “Love Steaks”.Besides this, the Grand Prize of the Saarland First Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer was awarded to Nico Sommer for “Familienfieber”, including prize money of 5,500 Euros, which is one of the next movies that daredo media will take care of.
