130765Matthieu B was born and raised in France. His early compositions were settled near breakbeat and chill-out area but he soon found his passion in straight rhythms and arrangements inspired by German deep-house stuff. He likes to embed various elements of dub and ambient into straight clear rhythms, so his borders of style are hard to define. The listeners and critics have been convinced about the state-of-the-art sound by his debut album on Plastic City in may 2016.
Finally we arrive at his 2nd album „45“ where he re-interprets and develops house in all possible facets. Matthieu B. is more than scratching at the surface – he’s instantly diving into the emotional world of the listener and captivates his audience with always warm, diversified and excellent tracks. Broad, deep, breathtaking beautiful…
Matthieu B. – more then than a insider’s tip!

132046Der Dritte Raum – short D3R aka Andreas Krüger & Ralf Uhrlandt are possibly one of the most innovative liveacts Germany’s techno scene has brought forward since the early Nineties, the formative years when Frankfurt trance was growing into a national movement that would change the course of dance music in Germany forever and inspired countless individuals with its take on electronics. With two album releases on the incredibly influential Frankfurt Harthouse imprint, which was partly run by pioneer DJ Sven Väth, Techno Germany’s undisputed father figure who still spearheads the scene, and three album releases on Virgin, there is hardly any live act and producer duo as successful and innovative as D3R. Merging techno, trance, electro and house all into one to create their own distinctive sounds that has generations of ravers on their knees begging for more, it’s time to send them into frenzy again with another burner on the resurrected Harthouse imprint which lost nothing of its impact.

130725The Berlin-based duo NAOMI is back with its sixth album Swim. The creative pause has generated space for fresh ideas and the record sounds calmer, more reduced and more optimistic while maintaining a melancholy note. Electro, alternative pop – Nico Tobias and Bernd Lechler don’t care much for genre definitions. Their focus is on great melodies, from the casual and mysterious opener Almost Talking via the almost sacral Melt The Key, the vocoder road movie Life Or Death or the nicely cheerful Get Up, Get Out Into The Rain to the final synthesizer riffs of the title track. You can excellently let yourself sink into these eleven songs, or, as required, laugh, cry, dance and spill beer, or just waste the day.

The Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote about Naomi’s last album The Big Shapes (2010) that the band, “in a fair world, would have to scramble with Lady Gaga for the top positions in the summer charts”; and also Rolling Stone and FAZ are already convinced. With its elegant and mature sound, Swim is a true enrichment for Germany’s pop landscape.

Darling Berlin’s latest movie “Ugly & Blind” by director and screenwriter Tom Lass is starting in cinemas all over Germany on September, 21st! The highly acclaimed movie has won several prizes, e.g. at the Filmfest Munich where “Ugly & Blind” has won the the prestigious FIPRESCI prize, which is awarded by the International Federation of Film Critics, or at the Filmfest Oldenburg, where it has been awarded with the German Independence Award for ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble’. Press critics are enthusiastic, too: “…a wonderful love story…” (Der Tagesspiegel); “…a brisk and dreamy Coming-of-age drama…” (Süddeutsche Zeitung).

With Axel Ranisch, Karin Hanczewski, Jakob Lass, Lana Cooper, Martina Schöne-Radunski and Amelie Kiefer in supporting roles, we meet many actors from other Darling Berlin movies in “Blind & Ugly”. Here is a short synopsis of the movie: Ferdi thinks he’s ugly – but likes the fact Jona is interested in him. Maybe because she’s blind. What Ferdi doesn’t suspect: She’s just pretending to be blind to be able to live cheaply in subsidized housing. How long can she maintain her charade? Can love, which is supposed to make you blind, even work out that way?

hh0012017 Remixes by Ricardo Villalobos, Butch, Tuff City Kids,

Cybordelics was founded in 1993 in Stuttgart, Germany. In the same year, Mike S., Milan Zemanec and Daniel Varga aka Cybordelics released their hit Adventures of Dama on Sven Väth’s label Harthouse. The record climbed up the UK dance charts to the 2nd place. People from London to Germany, especially in the legendary Omen Club in Frankfurt, danced to their techno anthems until the late afternoon. Today’s artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Väth, Gregor Tresher, Chris Liebing, Gerd Janson or Anthony Rother were at the Omen club when this record was played for the first time, and they still consider Adventures of Dama a milestone in techno history.
23 years later, the Harthouse label begins 2017 with a Remix EP, featuring remixes by Ricardo Villalobos, Butch, Tuff City Kids starting a new era of the Harthouse story.

On “Get Up, Get Out Into The Rain”, the Berlin-based NAOMI are approaching the Alternative House genre – starting with the beat and ending up at the emotion. At the same time, however, the duo is avoiding everything which is too cool or hip. Worked out really well – and the bass, beg your pardon, is sexy as fuck. With “Get Up, Get Out Into The Rain”, Nico Tobias and Bernd Lechler have written a song about childhood and even meditate over naivity and optimism: to derive enjoyment from annoyances and to recognize the potential of failures, making lemonade when the world is throwing lemons at you. At the same time, the song is the harbinger of the upcoming sixth album “Swim”, which is to be released in September and is much more relaxed, more elegant and more reduced than its predecessors, proving again: thanks to their diverse sound, Naomi are one of the acts in electronic music that is definitely not to be missed!
