Deep Meltdown, compiled by Greg Parker (compilation) – Plastic City. Play

In the Year 1996 Greg Parker began to work for the Distribution “DMS” and the Recordstore “Imports”. In 2002 he started to manage the recordstore on his own and changed the name into “Smoove Records”. The insight into the different kinds of electronic music allowed him an extended overview in the electronic music scene, which is actually reflected in his individual and bulky Sound. At the End of the 90’s Greg Parker was a wellknown Dj in Darmstadt and it’s outer regions. In 2002 he became Resident Dj in the famous House Club “Room 106” where he got in contact with Terry Lee Brown Junior. From this point of time on they started a close friendship which was not only based on the shared Interest in electronic Music. Inspired by their friendship the first own production from Greg Parker was released on the compilation “Imagination Of The Shape”. Greg Parker also produced two tracks together with Terry for his albums “Karambolage” (I Feel Lost) and “Softpack” (Headache). After his success with his first 12″ called “All Good Things” it was only consequential to ask him to compile his first DJ Mix compilation “Deep Meltdown” for Plastic City.

Groove-Alliance

Our new division “Groove Alliance” is a specialised distribution system for backcatalogue and special interest CDs. We distribute CDs and vinyl to special shop systems (f.e. amazon, discogs). The idea behind is, that in theses days there are a lot of good albums and CDs, which get lost in the major cains. Furthermore we keep tab on the fact, that new bands and quality albums didn´t get the time to develop in the international market before the album will be returned to the origin label and get lost in the market. Groove Alliance will change this.

fullfillment

One major step to reach this intention is the new fullfillment-deal between Groove Alliance and amazon in different territories.

Future Funk – The Early Years – Plastic City History

Future Funk was one of the first international respected house acts from Germany. They were respected by artists like George Morel and Masters At Work because they used to play on events all live. Founded by Jerome Isma-ae and Marcel Krieg, Future Funk released many records on their own labels Flavour Rec. and Toasted, but also on more underground orientated labels as Delirium, Compose, Plastic City and Hey Babe! or on international labels like for example Strictly Rhythm. Jerome Isma-Ae is also the owner of the label „jee-productions“. Based in his native Munich, he played gigs throughout Europe, as well as in South America, Australia and New Zealand. International gigs have included appearances in Ibiza (Privilege, Amnesia), Brussel, Warsaw, Kiev, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, Zurich, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Hvar, Kitzbuehl, Venezuela, Sidney, Melbourne, Darwin, Auckland, all cities in Germany and many other venues. Jerome Isma-Ae also wrote the movie soundtrack for the German film „100 Pro“ in 2001. This is a ReRelease of the classical album originally released on Plastic City UK in 1998.

Christian Hinzer – Those Days – Plastic City. Play

The DJ career of Christian Hinzer began in the early 90s. With friends like Criss Source (Mauritius Rec, Hugg and Kisses) he started his obsession at that time. Dominated by former club visits, such as the Warehouse (Cologne), The Omen (Frankfurt) or the Catacombs (Krefeld) followed by the mid-90s quickly own parties, he started as a booker for various clubs like meltshop (Düsseldorf), the Orange Club (Essen) and the Porn Club (Essen). Also in the production area Christian Hinze was not idle. With “Horny United he had charts success, TV appearances. Because of this a lot of Clubgigs fluttered into the house. Also exclusive publications and the labels “Fog Area” and “Cases” quickly showed that his productions inspire the masses. He created a new concept for a fashion company incl. a DJ concept,, which still brings DJs to “fashion house parties” in clubs like “Sky Lounge Berli”n or Sven Väths flagship Cocoon Club (Frankfurt). Christian Hinzer and Marc O’ Tool know each other for a long time from parties in Essen. In 2008 they met the first time in a studio together. Only now they decided to start producing together, because Marc O’ Tool had the right picture of the “sound” Christian Hinze had in his mind at this time. From this day they release Christian Hinzer tracks together which are reflect the current club sound, but with enough stubbornness and attitude in order to be different.
