After the great success of his album “The Ascent” on Plastic City in spring 2009 Dana Kelley comes around with the new EP called “Herdsman”. The sound of the “DKMA Presents Andrastea” ranges between classical house rhythms and arrangements over breathless clear minimalism and chunky tech-house. Acid-lines take place as well as jazzy organ-improvisations, powerful basslines as well as subtile backround-elements, soulful vocals as well as tricky architectural sample-constructions and sometimes the arrangements leave their glossy surfaces to sproud into the borders of the compactness and homogeneity and create needful edges inside a very designed elctronic music world.

Wax Tailor, aka JC Le Saout, made a remarkable impact worldwide with his albums “Tales of the Forgotten Melodies” and “Hope & Sorrow”. Often categorized as trip-hop or down tempo hip-hop, Wax Tailor breaks musical barriers using a sonic palette to demonstrate his life chronicles tainted in soul, jazz, and funk. With the new album “In The Mood For Life”, which will be released in september 2009, Wax Tailor confirms his musical identity. To celebrate in style this new release, the first single “Say Yes (feat. A.S.M.)” will be released on Mole Listening Pearls in august. The video for it was shot by Tenas, who had done the sensational video for the Wax Tailor track “Positively Inclined” last year. The band “Phunkstelle” (karo.me) met the chairman of the board of managment from the Deutsche Bahn AG, Dr. Rüdiger Grube, during a live performance in the Bahn-Tower at the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The Deutsche Bahn AG (short Bahn AG or DB) is the German national railway company. Headquartered in Berlin, it came into existence in 1994 as the successor of the former state railways of Germany, the Deutsche Bundesbahn of West Germany and the Deutsche Reichsbahn of East Germany. It also gained ownership of former railway assets in West Berlin held by the VdeR. DB is organised as a business group and has over 500 subsidiaries. It describes itself as the second largest transport company in the world after the Deutsche Post AG and is the largest railway operator and infrastructure owner in Europe. About two billion passengers are served each year. Phunkstelle presented the brand new debut album “Paarungszeit” (english: mating season) which just turns on hormonal blindnesses like poses, luminous Coolness and amusing stereotypes. The mating season, as a red thread in the life of young adults between disco and bars, between auditorium or vocational school, between a bottle of beer and a glas of Latte Macchiato. The lyrics of Phunkstellen Mastermind Simon Schmidt are vortexting, involve and get entangled to a testosterone contaminated cloud. From the point of view of an old bull, the album tells a history about the longing and fascination of his needs, packed with clever pun and rousing melodies. The lady killer who celebrates his single life, but in the back of his head of course always, he dears of something „firm“. When he has found his woman of dreams, the „lady with style“, he is turned down by her. “Paarungszeit” is an album with a big production. The guitars have a big sound full of relish and the percussion sychronize and pulsates through all songs. That sounds reminds you rather of a big american band with the punk-attitude of Green Day, as to a band from Hessen.
