Junichi Hoshino a.k.a. Tokyo Counterpoint started playing guitar when he was 14 years old. In 2001 he became a recording engineer and has done a lot of recordings in the studio so far. Since he had the chance to use a professional studio, he started to compose, arrange and remix songs and tracks. In 2004, he started his own solo project under the name “Tokyo Counterpoint” and released his first album “Oval” 2007 in Japan. The album was very successful in Japan and received No. 1 in Tower Records and No. 4 in HMV in Tokyo charts. Futhermore tha album got nice reviews in the Japanese music press like Remix Magazine, Floor net, and Sound & Recording Magazine. In 2009, Tokyo Counterpoint remixed and re-issued the album for Mole Listening Pearls. The album, now called “Oval+” will be released in autumn 2009. The first single “To The Sky”, taken from this new version of the album “Oval+”, contain a brand new Lemongrass Remix.
Tigershape was founded in 2009 by Christian Weiland, Ron Paul and Ralph Eckert. The three met 2006 the first time in the studio and released more than 70 deep house tracks for the Balearic Islands beach house scene so far, influenced from first DJ steps of the late 80s as well as from modern sounds. Christian Weiland is heavily focused on the Detroit sound (as a DJ and also in Studio), which he shows on his first releases on his young labels “Delikat Recordings”. Ron Paul has varied musical influences as well and because of he is also working as an engineer at the well known mastering studio “Time Tools Mastering”, the sounds of Tigershape releases are so massive and balanced. Ralf-e aka Ralph Eckert, the third part of Tigershape, is a Hanoverian DJ bedrock. Since the late 70s he was already behind the turntables. He often brings a touch of Soul in the productions. The mixture of all three involved members makes Tigershape tracks very special. New fresh sounds together with groovy parts and infuences of the “good old days”. In 2010 a Tigershape release will be out also on “Desolat” as well as a limited vinyl edition in cooperation with Martin Buttrich on “Delikat Recordings”.
Audio Lotion stands for delight. Each one of their four album releases had the press plunder their hitherto carefully locked treasure chest of superlatives: “The perfect lounge sound”, “Music as essential for your daily needs as eating and drinking”, “Indispensible for body and soul”. Music that sweeps up a wave of adjectives from the journalist’s heart: “refreshing”, “pleasurable”, “relaxing”, “sensual”, or even “sexy”. And as the icing on the cake, almost as if to be knighted, the music of Audio Lotion made its entry into the queen of all life style TV series: “Sex and the City”. After the last album “Metrosensual”, the retrospective “The Finer Essence” the Zurich-based duo are working on the next album since summer 2008. The sound of the two new tracks “Speedboats” and “Submarines” are representive for the “powerful sound” from the next Audio Lotion album which will be released in 2010.

Night Fever – Volume One (compilation) – Mole Listening Pearls
The task to define the “Mole borders” on sheer impossibility, as Mole manages to metamorphose into almost anything without losing its distinctive identity. Mole moves in the realm of electronic music, so much for sure. Mole oscillates between the poles of abstraction and club suitability by consciously transcending established genres or any kind of categorisation. The objective of Mole is to release good music of true artists while generating positive vibes. Sounds banal, but hits the bull´s eye… The “Night Fever – Volume One” release is quite obviously not just another “Club” compilation but presenting 24 extended versions or remixes of Mole artists. Tracks from artists like Ohm Square, Alphawezen, Naomi, moodorama, Yonderboi, Geb.el, Lemongrass, Zagar, nor elle and Minus 8 and remixes from Martini Brös, Christian Prommer, Gábor Deutsch, The Timewriter , DJ Bootsie or Terry Lee Brown Junior represent the open sound philosophy from Mole Listening Pearls. Mole stimulates all senses – not being typical is typical Mole!

One of these new songs, the deliciously erotic “Swimming in Love” showcasing the new vocalist Kanata Okajima, is a neo-disco jam that has Junichi Hoshino venturing out into uncharted waters again.
Nils Penner, Chopstick & Johnjon – Weekend In Bangkok (mp3 EP)
The three guys met in 2007. Nils was working as a graphic designer in Bremen for artists and labels like Oliver Huntemann, Thomas Schumacher, Stephan Bodzin, Rekorder, Fachmann, Get Physical etc., while Thien and John were looking for a designer for their first imprint Criminal Records. They got introduced and started to collaborate. Since Nils has always been a music enthusiast there always was this idea to enter the studio together and see what might come out… Later that year Criminal Records signed eternity and Baalsaal Music was born. A new label by Thien and John, together with an until now quite famous club in Hamburg, managed by André Stubbs. Again all the graphics came from Nils. John and Nils managed to have the first studio sessions and the project they came up with is Penner + Muder. The first single and remixes came out in 2008 on Moodmusic and an album is finished and scheduled for early 2010. Finally in early 2009 they had their first studio time all three together and the first single “Sun EP” on Absurd Recordings was produced. Usually the setup and plan is Nils coming up with a track idea, John pimping and makin it groove and Thien delievering his ace production skills, but in the end it is always everybody doing a bit of everything, which is why actual studio time together is so important. Now the combo is proud to release the first single on Plastic City in autumn 2009 while they are preparing a triple dj-set and live-pa… Watch out!
