Once upon a time, music from a far away land reached the snowcapped Himalayan mountains of Tibet. Three Buddhas, one representing Freedom, one Respect, and one Tolerance, set out to seek the source of these vibrations. Their long quest took them on a journey where whispers in the wind suggested these sounds resonated from a land filled with magic, mystery and music. After three years they arrived at the island of Ibiza and quickly came ashore, confident they were nearing the climax of their journey. In the center of the island, shrouded in valley mist and nestling in a bamboo forest they set their eyes on Bambuddha Grove, the temple to the Black Sheep Tribe, the Music, the Vibrations, the Source… As you stroll beneath a luscious canopy of bamboo, past watchful carved stone statues, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve just landed in Ubud, Goa or Ko Pha Ngan, not outback of a mediterranean isle. Make your way around the grand estate that is Bambuddha Grove®, and you’ll discover flushes of Ibiza luxe – the übercool crowd sipping on Bamboozles, Karmapirinhas or Shivalingas – amidst ancient erotic artefacts and sultry, sumptuous furnishings. Owner John Moon has lovingly created a temple to host private events, monumental parties and everything in between.

In 1993 a good friend of Tom Bucher sparked his interest in electronic music. Tom began with DJ performances, playing Techno & Trance. Later on, he also played House, which is still his favorite style of music. In 1999 he started to produce electronic music with two friends. In 1999, they released there first vinyl under the project name „Tojami Sessions“ on the label “In Between Entertaiment“, followed by releases for „Separe“, „Raum …Musik“ and „Dessous Rec.“ Christos Kessidis fell in love with electronic music in the mid 90´s and was especially amazed with the New York Deep-House sound. He started to concentrate on his skills as a DJ in a young age. Through the years he established his own sound and style. His DJ sets always varied. This is especially true for his energetic and emotionally sets that manage to get everybody in the perfect mood. He has released tracks on labels like Exun Records, 8 Bit and Aenaria Music. Tom Bucher and Christos Kessidis met and started working together in the spring of 2006 and immediately started a prolific partnership based on their shared music styles (which fuse elements of Chicago House, Disco, 80’s Soul, Jazz-Funk and Detroit- Techno) and their common experiences with the DJ circuit. With their first mutual album “Live On”, including the pre-released singles “Time“ and “Fate“, the team proves its ability to arrange and produce deep Tech-House tracks hitting the zeitgeist absolutely.
“Fuga Magica” is exactly what the title says. The actual and musical runaway from a dark era through streets and alleys, keys and notes, cables and knobs. A morbid and confused feeling is rising up…. A session in a smokey backroom, a performance at the dark theatre, a hangover after a rainy night but also a visit at the vineyard and a walk at Venice beach. All of these, combined with the Magic and the unexpected that life itself contains in his stories day in and day out — this is what “Fuga Magica” is meant to be and represents. The artist Costas Chrysogelos a.k.a Digital Alkemist has recorded this album in Athens and partially in Miami from October 2008 to February 2010. He creates an album without repeating himself in sounds and melodies. It is the first full vocal album with lots of natural instruments and less electronic soundscapes — as usual. Fuga Magica for him was a territory exploring new ways of creating music. Acoustic guitars, keys, violins, solid basslines, tripped out grooves and a ton of other instruments without missing the electronic background. On Fuga Magica you will find trip hop, rock, funk and downtempo tracks all polished with the shine of electronic glimpse and perfect voices. A perfect mixture of music!
Free Download: Franksen & Tom Wax – Rhythm Section
while Tom Wax took his way via Techno, Tech-House and Electro from scratch in the late 80s, Franksen loves his 90s house und US deephouse structures. Their fusion: Driving house and techhouse beats, organic percussions, electronic funk or global vibes, it’s all in there. The strict goes with the playful, the rhythmic with the melodic and the organic with the electronic. Working together they basically extend and merge the loose ends of their common radio work in their home zone, the Rhein-Main-area. For six years Tom presented the weekly show SOUNDS at Frankfurt’s public radio YOU FM. As a radio-host Tom’s playlists boast cool contemporary techy clubsounds between trend und tradition. Today he is host of the “PHUTURE SOUNDS” Radioshow on Big City Beats FM keepin’ up the proper work with his well chosen guests from Ellen Alien to Gregor Tresher or from Timo Maas to Super Flu! As a producer in the 90s he released and worked as A&R for “Harthouse”. He established himself a cornerstone in every techno-history, with still legendary projects such as Microbots, Arpeggiators or AWeX. As resident DJ at Frankfurt’s very own “Dorian Gray” he belongs to the heritage of the Frankfurt sound. Franksen is „On Air“ since 8 years, hosting Germany’s longest-running DJ-radioshow. Today’s YOU FM CLUBNIGHT offers all the flavours of house- and techhouse: with groovy tracks, a vibrant presentation and well-chosen guests. From Jamie Jones to Loco Dice or John Dalbäck, just to name a few from last year’s live guests at Franksen’s studio. As a DJ Franksen plays house weekly makings sure with his fierce mixing skillz that the groove never stops. Their first artist album „Full House“ will be out on at the first of April and that is no joke. The double Mix CD as well as the downloadversion boasts a wide range of House-and Tech-House flavours. The album’s title is programmatic. Everything goes… apart from arrange and composition which clearly hone electronic programming and function it is their talent to tell a little story within each track and let the sounds travel with your mind. In The Mix, all of this is even more palpable. To get the first impression of the current “Frankson & Tom Wax Sound” you can just listen to the track “Rhythm Section”.
Although working from different continents with a time difference of eight hours and a half was hard at times, the Canadian-based duo (Amirali Shahrestani and Iman Habibi) saw it as a worthy challenge. Rather than back down at times when WAV files took up to an hour to upload with slow internet connections in Iran, the guys approached the challenge with tremendous interest and felt more and more confident with each step they took. Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and many other web sites are filtered by the government of Iran, making it hard for someone in the music industry and in constant need of the internet to keep up and move on. Despite strict laws and the threat of government censorship, Strict Border with the help of anti-filters and proxies to access the web world were able to work together and produce music. Amirali Shahrestani and Iman Habibi were drawn together by their shared passion and love for electronic music. Music and nightlife inspired both of them from early on. They have built a reputation as hottest upcoming techno and house artists. The pair dived to the forefront of dance music in February 2009 and has achieved extensive recognition in fewer than three months since they joined forces in Tehran. Sadly the guys had to part ways shortly after meeting in Tehran as Iman currently lives in Tehran and Amirali had to go back to Toronto. After the successful debut release “Body Cure” on Plastic City in autumn 2010, they strikes back with a brilliant new release for your body, mind and soul.
