digedo welcomes Offline, IMPVLSE, Konnekkt Records and Schallinterferenz Records to the family!
OFFLINE was created by Brad Wilder, Christopher Groove and Benjamin Sagan in the recent past. A simple meeting in a bar had produced an exchange of previously unspoken musical urges and desires that would prove you need some chalk with your cheese sometimes.
It unravelled in the Groove Vienna HQ, a flickering thankfully fully soundproofed studio that was so smoke filled it made the Beijing smog look like a pleasant morning in the Maldives. Apparently the expensive acoustic treatment had factored this in and so it proved over these next fun filled weeks and months.
Offline was conceived. Events, gigs, a record label and other stuff. It would look beautiful and breathe quality. Direction and design that would be utterly distinctive. An abandoned puppy was rescued from the wintry streets and named Walter– it was the one occasion they had to walk to the takeaway as the phones had gone offline. Offline would be rather red with neon notes and look gorgeous whatever it put on display. An umbrella that would allow not only the partnership but the individuals to express and flourish – and loads of other stuff. A record label. Home cooked music to distract and to dance to. Freedom for and collaboration with fellow travellers. Music for sharing and evolving and stir frying with as little oil as possible.Events that would also be quite red and look devastatingly good because of a cutting edge approach to design linked to a sound that went and was Offline. Smaller gigs and collaborations that stretch out somewhere else and unselfconsciously explore locations and opportunities.

Schallinterferenz Records is a young techno label from Berlin. “We mostly produce tracks with a dark atmosphere, but we don’t just commit ourselves to it. We also want to distribute Trance, Deephouse, House, Techhouse and generally relaxed music. With new track ‘Warschauer Strasse’, Claudio Ricci has created an expansive seven minute workout of twisted synths and deep house drums. The first remix comes from long time techno heavyweight Timo Maas and the prolific and inventive Basti Grub. Their singular remix speeds up the original and layers in fluttering toms and percussive sounds as well as broad, groaning synths and the distant sound of a bustling city at rush hour. Sudam label boss and Ibiza based artist Kintar flips the track into something spacious and haunting. Eerie keys and sweeping synths keep you on edge as the rubbery techno groove rolls on into the night. Bulgarian based Metodi Hristov loves to experiment and has a distinctive techno style that gains support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox and Adam Beyer. In his hands the track becomes a peak time tech banger!

First release on belgian label Atrakt Recordings: Chris Tietjen – Smoke Stack EP
Known from his Cocoon and Cocoonclub history, Chris Tietjen is stepping more and more into the production field. His fourtracker for Atrakt is based on solid Detroit flavoured 909 beats. Tietjen gives us deepness (Smoke Stack / A1) at the same as he delivers pure mental techno heaven (Channel / B1). Randall M is on remix duty for “Smoke Stack“ (A2) and supplies us with that beloved Berlin afterhour flavour – this one beams us straight back to those mad summer mornings dancing with mirrorshades and feeling the heat. Tietjen’s „Deep Swift“ (B2) follows the current sound of Frankfurt, full of deepness, dub-effects and minimal house vibes in the likes of Sasha Dive or Markus Fix. A cool fourtracker that will take us through the grey and cold winter – we can’t wait to hear these gems on the first open airs in spring again!
The second EP on SIS’s label Pour Vous is provided by some outstanding talents from Darmstadt/Germany: We are happy to welcome back Dalson for their first quality release on Pour Vous Records after there successful ‘Womack‘ Remix on the ‘Deuxième Partie‘ EP from SIS. ‘Tingleman‘ is heavily played by SIS after the last few month and earned great feedback on the dance floors. So there was no question that he pick this track for his new label. ‘Tingleman‘ opens the release with a groovy bass melody supported by a catchy piano hook to take over the floor. Up next is ‘Greenlane‘ which has a deeper and darker atmosphere. The bassline and melody are switched to a trippier vibe, perfect for after hours!
Matteo Spedicati is back on Amam with his brand new ‘Smoking Mirrors’ EP to end the summer in beauty, including his two original tracks and three lovely remixes. From Cagliari, Sardinia, Matteo Spedicati has always been embedded in music through playing guitar from a very young age. After checking out studios with his friends here and there, he managed to release some bombs that were supported by artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola. Continuing the run of stellar collaborators, the next release from Danza Macabra sees acclaimed UK electronic artist Mathew Herbert remix original track ‘In For It’. Featuring the vocals of Diyala, winner of best female vocalist in her native Croatia, Diyala’s vocals are ‘found coaxing and stretching like a leather-clad temptress, realising the best traditions of breathy pop vamps and dance dominatrices.’ Danza Macabra return in April after the release of ‘Standstill’, an EP which featured a remix from Panorama bar regular Oskar Offerman and vocals from Richard Davis. Davis returns on ‘In For It Recomposed’ this time to lend his hand to production. Danza Macabra describe this EP as embodying the ethos of the label. Diyala’s vocals are sultry and languorous ‘tailored perfectly for moving under a fool moon’ and both remixers bring something very different to the table. With this next release under their belt and Danza Macabra going from strength to strength and 2015 sees them poised to see even more success.
