Music Harbors is a 21st century music sales channel dedicated to building true partnerships with artists. They are non-traditional for the non-traditional artist. Music Harbors works in the ever changing dynamic of the music industry and constantly search for fresh and innovative ways to connect our artists with music fans. They strive for the genesis of the new Music Model where we assist the artists that are at the creative centre. The men behind Music Harbors are Steven and Werner Last.

Steven Last has learned the music business from the ground up, first working for EMI Music Publishing and later as a Label Manager for Island Records. He has lived for the last 16 years in Los Angeles and New York City working as a music producer, recording artist, composer and studio owner. He is known in the world beat arena as the creator and mastermind behind the Galactic Caravan (Universal Music) project as well as several other music ventures. Recent projects he has created and produced were “Baghdad Heavy Metal” (a fusion rock/world beat production) featuring an All Star cast of Middle Eastern artists as well as iconic American artists Sammy Hagar and guitarist Steve Hunter, who is known for his work with Peter Gabriel and Lou Reed, ” O +” an electronica/world beat production for poet/performance artist Victoria Cyr, as well as the recent cd for Issam Houshan (Syrian tabla legend and master drummer behind the Bellydance Superstars). Steve Last has also worked as a re-mixer for Sting, Aswad, Hakim, Rachid Taha, Trans Global Underground and many more, and has created tracks for Mario Reyes (Gypsy Kings), Emma Shaplin, Steve Stevens, Cheb Mami, Zohar, Faudel, Rayess Bek and many others …

Werner Last was born in New York and raised in Germany. He has been active in the music industry with his own businesses in the US and Germany for over 25 years. He has worked as a music producer, music publisher, internet entrepreneur, label owner and Big Band leader. And he has been an advocat for the “new” music business (“the future of music”) since the late 80-ties! When he is not busy planning new projects, you can meet him in one of Berlin’s sidewalk cafes – well – of course discussing new projects.
